The
Sunbelt World Trade Association promotes Tucson and Southern Arizona as a gateway to global trade, world wide promotions of Tucson and Arizona and to promote better relationships between countries - by providing a valuable forum for ideas and discussions pertaining to foreign trade.

The
Sunbelt World Trade Association frequently sponsors special luncheons and dinner meetings to honor foreign dignitaries visiting Tucson, as well as international trade and investment matters. On Thursday, April 28, 2005 the group sponsored a special luncheon for Qubad Jalal Talabany, who is the Washington-based representative to the U.S. of the Kurdish Regional Government. He is the son of Iraq's president, is trained as an engineer and is active politically in the Patriotic Union of Kurdistan. His talk was on tourism, agriculture & trade opportunities. The picture that follows is from that event. Click for details.
