The Sunbelt World Trade Association was initially formed in 1976 as the Southern Arizona World Trade Association. Its first accomplishment was to create infrastructure for a system of integrated Foreign Trade Zones which would promote and facilitate international trade between the United States, Asia and LatinAmerica.
Sunbelt World Trade Association members have extensive knowledge of people, customs and business practices, as well as insights built upon years of global experience. They understand the soial, political, and economic challenges of today and respond in unique and innovative ways.
The Sunbelt World Trade Association is a group of Southern Arizona public, private, and educational professionals with unique technical expertise in international trade who look at the Sonoran Region as a gateway to the global market place.
